Overview:

The Zyxel EMG2926-Q10A is a Dual-Band Wireless AC/N 4-port Gigabit Ethernet Gateway with USB ports designed to enable smoother multimedia streaming taking advantage of the latest AC technology. The EMG2926-Q10A offers concurrent data transfer rates of 450 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 1300 Mbps at 5 GHz for users to enjoy high speeds across greater distances throughout their homes for maximum wireless coverage. The device also offers StreamBoost support that automatically allocates a proper amount of bandwidth to each connected devices without the need to manually set up Quality of Services (QoS) for each device or application.

It comes with a Gigabit WAN port and four Gigabit Ethernet ports to interoperate with FTTx or cable modems, and its 802.11ac compliance offers a better platform for FTTx and cable infrastructure deployments. The EMG2926-Q10A allows telcos, service providers and cable operators to provide home connectivity without spending the cost to rewire the entire house. The EMG2926-Q10A is also an IPv6-enabled device that works with both the new IPv6 standards as well as the current IPv4 standard.

The 802.11ac technology empowered the device to eliminate dead zones and to extend coverage while retaining backward compatibility with all Wi-Fi certified devices. Users can browse the Web with the 2.4 GHz band while watching HD video or play online games smoothly at the 5 GHz band while others at home are browsing the Web or checking emails.

Smart QoS for the unparalleled movie, video and gaming experience

The Zyxel EMG2926-Q10A adopts Smart QoS taking advantage of the intelligent StreamBoost™ feature to allow users to experience high network performance even with a large number of users connected. It prioritizes bandwidth applications to optimize multi-stream HD video, gaming sessions, IP voice services and Web browsing through assigning appropriate bandwidths to each application automatically. It also minimizes the impact from large packets and lower-priority traffics on latency-sensitive tasks to effectively eliminate interruption to online games and video steaming applications.

Auto provisioning and remote management through TR-069

By adopting the TR-069 standard, the Zyxel EMG2926-Q10A incorporates the TR-069 standard management specifications for service providers to remotely manage and configure the devices without user intervention. Moreover, it offers a “plug-and-play” experience to reduce deployment complexity, operating costs and maintenance expenses for service providers.

Easy management with two-level configuration

The Zyxel EMG2926-Q10A provides a two-level management mechanism for service providers to use two different privilege levels to ensure security of their critical device configurations. Service providers can manage and configure the device with full privilege and parameters, while end-users are only granted partial administration rights to use basic, user-friendly configuration features such as wireless scheduling and SSID settings.
